I'm sure all of you know someone that has a medical condition - a condition so serious that they might require special medication or treatment should they ever become unconscious and can't speak for themselves.

I'm certain that you know a stroke or cancer survivor - someone that has diabetes or asthma or is a breast cancer survivor or has an allergy to penicillin, seafood, peanuts or whatever.

I've seen lots of Medical Alert ID bracelets out there or dog tags and frankly they aren't very appealing or pretty and most people don't want to wear them.  Lots of folks would like to have them customized but finances don't allow it.  Let's face facts - Do you buy a customized medical alert bracelet that can run anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00 and more or do you buy the medications you need to keep getting better?  The average ID bracelet is made of stainless steel and can get caught on so many things.  Many companies won't allow you to wear bracelets at work because of safety hazards and yet, a medical condition that can be life threatening is far more of a safety hazard.

So I got thinking about a friend of mine, who had a stroke some time ago that left him with a speech impediment.  When he spoke, he understood perfectly what he was saying but no one else could figure it out.  I sat with him and helped in speech therapy classes and we discussed how good it would be if he had something he could wear that would be attractive, could be customized with his name and be affordable.  Something that could suit a man or a woman.  Something that could tell folks why he sounded the way he did and that he wasn't drunk or crazy.

This was before I started making pendants and finally, I came up with an idea that I think you'll love.  This idea can be so customized - with name, address, photo, medical condition.. you'll see a few examples below.  I am very excited about this opportunity to provide for those that can't speak for themselves in times of crisis. Or those that want to share with the world that Christ is on their side and they are survivors.
