In early 2011, I started thinking about a particular candy of my youth.  It was a smooth, delightful, not too sweet toffee and I simply could not get it out of my head.  I searched the internet only to find that the original company had been consumed by a corporate giant and in their wisdom they changed the recipe. This would never do. After lots of experimenting, trials, testing, sampling and more, I am pleased to announce that Country Cottage Candies CO's toffee now rivals the one I so fondly remembered.

The basic recipe includes unsalted butter, sugars, canned milk or cream and a whole lot of love and patience.  Average shelf life is several weeks and I recommend storing in an airtight container in the fridge.
